The Beginning of Our Bernese Journey

In the spring of 2008, a long-held dream finally came true. After many years of hoping and waiting - for the right moment, the right circumstances, the right time in life - we welcomed our very first Bernese Mountain Dog into our family from Warsaw, Poland. With children, education, and housing to consider, the timing had never quite been right before. But now, everything had fallen into place.

Our journey began with the highly respected Polish kennel Astrum Felix, who had a beautiful litter of puppies after their bitch, PLCH ASTRAJA pod Dwiema Tęczami and C.I.B. EQUO van’t Beertjes Hof. Among the eight puppies - six females and two males - was the one who would change our lives. His name was CHORT Astrum Felix, but at home he quickly became Chopin, named after the great Polish composer Frédéric Chopin.

From the very beginning, Chopin captured our hearts completely. At just nine weeks old, we started puppy training at Bernerpladsen, and with every step our love for the breed grew deeper. It wasn’t just about having a dog - it became a passion for everything surrounding the Bernese Mountain Dog: the training, the shows, the community.

Then, in the summer of 2009, another very special dog entered our lives. From the renowned Polish kennel Kraina Zeusa came a little girl with a big presence - JAMBALAYLA WOW z Krainy Zeusa. And “WOW” she truly was. She brought something extraordinary with her and would go on to become the foundation of our kennel.

Together, these dogs shaped not only our lives, but our vision.

What started as a dream soon became a way of life. Anna later became deeply involved in the breed community, serving on the board of the Danish Bernese Mountain Dog Club in Jylland, and eventually as both board member and chairman of the national Danish Bernese Mountain Dog Club for five years.

We have fallen deeply in love with the Bernese Mountain Dog as it should be: large, strong, and powerfully built, yet balanced and harmonious, with beautiful heads and, above all, a gentle and loving temperament. Our passion goes beyond admiration - we are dedicated to preserving and contributing to the healthy, responsible breeding of this remarkable breed, so that others may experience the same joy and connection that began for us all those years ago.
